Under the title E & U Galerie Kremers and Galerie ART CRU Berlin are presenting their first joint exhibition project. In this unique collaboration, artistic positions from the established art world  and Outsider Art come together—deliberately without hierarchy, but with ample space for new perspectives.                                                                         E & U challenges common categorizations: What is considered established? What is viewed as “outsider”? The exhibition plays with the boundaries between so-called high art and outsider art, between academic training and self-taught expression. The goal is to create a shared space in which the diversity of artistic expression can be experienced as enrichment.

The title is a nod to the German classification of E- und U-Musik (serious and popular music), playfully transferred to the visual arts to question artistic categories and value systems.

Works by artists from both institutions will be shown at both locations—sometimes side by side, sometimes in dialogue, and sometimes in contrast.

Galerie Kremers on the Kreuzberg was founded almost exactly 10 years ago. We started with the exhibition “ABSTRAKT – Three Generations”. Others followed, and the major exhibition “The New Abstract – An Atlantic Bridge”, in which our close collaboration with North American and Canadian artists became visible, was a real highlight. On this occasion, we are celebrating our 10th anniversary with familiar and some new positions on both sides of the Atlantic ocean.
